What I Do
I Curate Visual Experiences
A lot of my work starting out was based on personal experiences with the occult and paranormal world and challenges endured when pitching such topics to producers and broadcasters motivated me to work towards educating and inspiring people and bringing a difference to their lives by projecting these experiences on to the big screen.
Filmmaking is a powerful tool in and of itself that must be used wisely to communicate knowledge and information to people. The more questions people posed, the more I reflected and realised the need to produce content related to spirit and human evolution to understand and explore the unseen, unheard, and mysterious.
Since my career began in the late 1980s, I have undertaken a number of creative endeavours for a variety of clients. These have ranged from stage theatre and musicals to feature documentaries to creative non-fiction to writing assignments and much more. Feel free to go through some of my projects by clicking here.
My first project for BBC Wales in 1988 set me off on a path that I’d never imagined, thought, or dreamt of. I was preparing to be an academic! It’s been 32 years to the day but why look to the past when, as a filmmaker, I see stories all around me that are waiting to be told?
Filmmaking being my primary area of expertise, I ran a media production company for over two decades and with each film felt that cinema is just one of the many critical tools necessary for developing a connection and relating to kindred spirits around the world and like-minded people ranging from coaches to healers to spiritualists to seekers and so on. It was the visual and the audio-medium - what we hear and see - our eyes and ears - the most important common senses of our being that are involved in absorbing, watching, assimilating, being able to implement that in our life and processing that information.
Today, I offer people an opportunity to focus on personal evolution to attain a higher sense of consciousness. For fulfilling my purpose as a visual changemaker, I stories through a podcast called The Long, Winding Road, chronicling my life as a filmmaker, details on ongoing projects, and my journey towards self-transformation.
Extracting a leaf out of my book as an international creative professional, I also provide two kinds of workshops on the art of documentary filmmaking from, firstly, a technical perspective and secondly, a spiritual perspective as a way to express one's deepest thoughts, beliefs, experiences and relaying all those when putting a production together.
I am also a motivational speaker, taking leafs out of my own life to help inspire others or offer some food for thought. Check out some of talks I've given in the past by clicking here.
